Poor Condition of Bangladesh railway

 Bangladesh Railway is currently in a poor condition. It would be wrong to say that the railway management has been in a very poor condition since several years ago.  Even though the duty station master's words are written outside the door, there seems to be no one to see how much he is performing his duties. In the absence of accountability, arbitrariness is constantly increasing.

Most of the time the station master closes his door and performs his duties.  He opened and closed the door as he wished.  When you ask him about the train schedule or any information, his face looks like he is committing the biggest crime in the world.

I can confirm that most frequent train commuters have had such an experience at some station or the other.

Sometimes, seeing the face of the station master, I think that maybe he doesn't know anything, his job is to come and sit and leave after finishing the office.  A station master on duty may have to answer countless questions throughout the day.  That is the responsibility of that chair.  And the government also means service to the people. They are paid with the people's money.

Trains are late for hours every day. I can't remember the last time I traveled by train as per the announced time.  It is never said that anyone related to the railway has any insight into this matter.  These days no newspaper writes much about these issues of railways.  Of course, these days newspapers don't write about this issue because this news doesn't give much TRP.

Black marketers sell tickets at many stations during the day. The worst thing is that railway tickets are blocked in front of railway police and railway officials. The investigation will reveal that railway officials are involved in the ticket black market.

However, in some cases, it is not necessary to investigate.  People's refund tickets are often bought at double the price from the ticket counter.  Many times, even if you pay 100-150 taka to the attendant inside the train, he saves everything from the checking point.

If anything requires a strong point of view then the railways are not out of it.  Such unprofessional behavior of station masters, late running of every train, or black market of trains is all important problems which need united efforts of all to solve them.

 Special warnings:

 No one boards a train expecting to arrive on time.  But you can reach the destination at a slightly lower cost than the bus fare.
